Spotify viral artist Ant Saunders joins the 100 million streams club with the track Yellow Hearts. The New Jersey hip-hop artist says in an instagram post:
There’s just no way this number is real…..if you were to tell me 3 months ago that this song I made on FL Studio on my computer at home would get me a HUNDRED MILLION streams on @spotify alone, I would’ve thought you were on crack. I’ve honestly been waiting for a moment like this to happen for such a long time—I’d been making covers and posting them everywhere since the beginning of time and nothing ever really came of it. Then, I guess I came to the realization that that’s how it was supposed to be. It allowed me to continue working on my craft so that I’d be ready to be recognized. This number right here is a mark that represents all the work I’ve put in to make my dream come true. To all the aspiring artists out there, I know it’s hard, but your moment is bound to come. If it happened to me, it can happen to you. Thank you ?. Also..

Eilish singing ‘When The Party’s Is Over’ at the award show is a bit paradoxical, because the party is not over for the 18 year old. It’s just beginning. The pop singer cleaned up at the Grammys winning all four major categories. It was a big night for Billie, but it wasn’t a typical night. Kobe Bryant’s tragic death and the allegations against the Recording Academy put a damper on music’s biggest night. No doubt, a strange disheartened vibe filled the room and instead of focusing on the winners, there was distraction and confusion. It was shocking that Lewis Capaldi and his massive crossover hit “Someone You Loved’ didn’t walk with a major nod, but in the big scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter. With Kobe Bryant passing hours before the Grammys, it made people remember that life is precious and a gift and shouldn’t be taken for granted.

Accepting his award as the 2020 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons, Sean “Diddy” Combs went on to slam the Recording Academy at the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala. He said that hip-hop and black music have “never been respected by the Grammys”
In attendance were Jay-Z, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Cardi B, Lana Del Rey, Ozzy Osbourne, and John Legend.

Diddy’s acceptance speech ran 50-minutes + which saw him reminisce about his life and career and the people he worked with.
“There’s something that I need to say to the Grammys — and I say this with love,” he said. “Every year y’all be killing us. I’m speaking for all the artists and executives: in the great words of Erykah Badu, “We are artists and we are sensitive about our sh–.” For most of us, this is all we’ve got. This is our only hope. Truth be told, hip-hop has never been respected by the Grammys. Black music has never been respected by the Grammys.”
