Runnin is a solid up-beat pop track by Launa. Right now, we are heading towards the slower tempos Selena Gomez “Lose You To Love Me” types and that’s why I like this track – it’s upbeat with a memorable melody. I won’t hide the fact that it really sounds like Sigrid. The 21 year old South Wales native, now based in Brighton draws influences from LÉON and Dua Lipa. She clocked over 95,000 streams on Spotify in 2019, garnered BBC Introducing support, and performed during The Great Escape Festival in May 2019.

In a shocking turn events, Ultra Music Festival has pulled the plug in Miami. That’s right, it’s cancelled. The electronic music festival will be postponed — possibly for a full year. The Miami Herald said it was cancelled over the concerns over the coronavirus. That’s a bit odd. There are no travel restrictions in the U.S. and SXSW and other festivals have announced that they will not be cancelling any events.

Solarrio, aka David Barenboim delivers a great track Started This Yet. It sounds like it could be sandwiched between Gaga and Dua Lipa who all released sing along 80’s inspired tracks. Heavily promoted Doja Cat has skyrocketed on the Spotify U.S. streaming chart with the track “Say So“. She lifted off with a Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” performance, playlist placement and a music video. Her U.S. dates are looking good too. Doja Cat signed to songwriter Dr Luke’s Kemosabe Records when she was just 17.

The pop singers overseas Manic tour has begun with a rocky start. Halsey’s concert in Stockholm on February 24th was cancelled. Her show at WiZink Center, Madrid (16,000 capacity) grossed $259,769.00 w/ 4,053 (66%) Tickets Sold with an $64.09 Average Ticket Price. According to sources, artist that booked big stadium tours are wishing they booked smaller venues because ticket sales are soft. Nobody likes walking on stage to a near half empty arena. Why are ticket sales soft? We can’t blame the coronavirus, not yet, at least. It’s most likely competition on the road and artists have overestimated their worth. Big Instagram and TikTok followings doesn’t mean big crown turnout on the road.
