Hidden Hospitlas

Buzz Track: Rose Hips

Alt rock band Hidden Hospitals is gearing up to hit the road in support of their debut full-length album Surface Tension. The Chicago-based foursome–which includes members from previous projects Damiera (Equal Vision Records) and Kiss Kiss (Eyeball Records)–will kick off a nine show run on May 3 in Rochester, NY. Substream says “Based out of Chicago, progressive alt-rock quartet Hidden Hospitals may be new to the scene, but their members aren’t new to the game…So it’s no surprise that their debut full-length, Surface Tension, sounds like an album made not by a new band but by seasoned musicians focused on honing their craft and pushing their sound forward” while Arena.com notes “Surface Tensionis an emotive 12-track rock collection with deep lyrical content, progressive riffs, and a semi-dreamlike quality…These hospitals are no longer hidden; they are about to break out.”

Saltwater Sun is an artist to watch.

Deal Casino

Asbury Park, NJ rockers Deal Casino released a new song and video “Downtown”, the third single off their Heck EP. The band previously released “Bang Bang Bang” and “Fortyfive”. The Aquarian called the EP “focused and slathered with pinpoint continuity – Heck is one “heck” of a calling card.” OnStage Magazine notes, “Over the past two months, the buzz surrounding New Jersey’s Deal Casino has grown into a low roar. Catchy and explosive and yeah, you do need to hear them in 2015.” Instantly becoming a staple of the music scene, the band played a summer long residency at The Saint, put out three EP’s with producer Jon Leidersdorff and won three Asbury Music Awards for Best Pop/Rock Band, Best Vocalist, and Best Live Performances.

They have received praise from Stereo Embers Magazine calling them “one of the most exciting bands around melodically adventurous and musically cunning.” “Both in rhythm and in melody they evoke an idyllic island environment, where one can put on the tunes with nothing to worry about other than keeping the piña coladas coming along.” – Pop Matters.
