Check out SOMOH’s new track, “Problem Child.” The song captures the best moments of 90’s alternative rock and grunge. Picture Liz Phair meeting Mazzy Star, blending dream pop and indie rock.

SOMOH, singer-songwriter Sophia Mohan’s project, explores bedroom-pop and alt-rock themes like love, hardship, friendships, and family. Her 2022 debut EP, ‘A Plan to Get Home,’ received praise from DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, and Clash, as well as support from BBC Radio 1.

She collaborates again with Irish songwriter and producer Joel Johnston (Far Caspian) for her upcoming EP, ‘Problem Child,’ releasing via his label, Tiny Library Records. The EP draws inspiration from Beabadoobee, Soccer Mommy, and Alex G, focusing on introspective and emotive explorations of life’s hurdles.

Praised by Clash, Line of Best Fit, BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, Notion, and the Sunday Times, SOMOH launches her EP with a London headline show at The Grace on March 28th, followed by an appearance at Gold Sounds Festival in May.

Check out the infectious “Big One” by Imogen Clark. Reminiscent of the 80s and pink neon signs, this song will transport you back to a time when days were filled with fun and chaos was lurking underground.

“I wanted a song that was intimate and vulnerable but massive, as big sounding as the feelings I was writing about,” says Imogen. “I wrote it with Sam Phay in Melbourne, and I came in with the idea that had been growing in my mind, this hunger to be the big one in somebody’s life, the love that stays in their heart even if the relationship doesn’t last”.

She has an Australian tour lined up with the duo BOWEN * YOUNG, accompanying her new album “The Art of Getting Through,” as well as a tour with INXS legend Andrew Farriss. Check the track out on KOAR’s indie invaders playlist.

Watch out for Christos and the track ‘need me like i needed u‘. The smooth pop track is infectious, falling between Post Malone and The Kid Laroi.

Chrisos notes, “‘need me like i needed u’ is the intro track off my EP ‘all fades to dust’. When I made this song I instantly knew it had the dramatic and dreamy elements to be perfectly suited for the introduction of my project. I really opened up on this track and told a vivid story about my experience of losing somebody. It’s a personal journey that’s as real as it gets.”

He has already garnered global support from outlets such as triple j, V13, Edge Radio, Ones To Watch, Discover Nü (DNü), The Australian Music Scene, and many more. Christos has accumulated nearly 7,000 organic Spotify streams for his single ‘stranger’ from his latest EP. Stream it on KOAR’s indie invaders playlist.
