Nashville based producer Mokita releases the new track London. He’s been making a name for himself in the world of dance music production. Releasing originals and remixes, Mokita has garnered more than 20 million Spotify streams across three singles. His latest track London which was inspired by a UK trip landed on Spotify’s most popular playlist New Music Friday in December. Give it a stream.
Phil Good captured our attention with his newest single, ‘Put It All On Me‘. The electro pop song has an infectious hook which sounds like a playlist smash. Originally from Portland but now residing in LA, he’s an up & coming go-to songwriter for Cheat Codes, Lauv, Carlie Hanson, CADE, and Shallou. Transitioning from songwriter to artist is a challenge but his sound and persona is unique. Give it a stream!
Check out the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Nola Wren. She released an EP Scream Into The Void, Pt. 1. that’s full of dark haunting electro pop songs. This is an EP that needs to be listened in its entirety for it to make sense. It doesn’t have a particular song that jumps out, whether that’s good or bad – I don’t know. The tracks were written during a chaotic time in her life. Nola tells Kings that she wrote songs in buses, coffee shops, libraries, my parent’s living room, my (now-ex) boyfriend’s bedroom floor. Primarily using Ableton Live and Logic Pro to craft her sound – she discovered electronic music and production in her college years. Give it a stream.

Swedish electro pop singer Emma-Lee Andersson who goes by the moniker Bellhouse drops two new tracks – Coping and Like You Loved Us. Both are really good tunes. Musically, think Ellie Goulding upgraded. Having played in punk bands, Bellhouse notes, “My taste in music has gone from pop to metal to punk to dancehall and back to pop again plus everywhere in between, and a lot of it still sticks with me.” With the track Like You Loves Us, she says “I wanted to make a great pop-song for a big crowd about a situation everyone will recognize.” She’s flying under the radar right now but she could be spotted in 2019. Check it out.
Look out for the Tuscon act The Sometimes. Think Foster The People and Phoenix. The trio consists of a couple of dudes who are just having fun. It’s working for them. Check out the track All This Time as well as the video which was recorded live in the living room. The band tells Kings, “All This Time’ is one of the first songs we wrote. We wrote and recorded the majority of it while visiting home in Seattle, holed up in our makeshift bedroom studio. It’s a song about feeling frustrated and ‘stuck’, but still enjoying yourself along the way.” Give it a listen!
