I’m enjoying the new track Feel Better by electro pop artist Fi. The Irish singer says the track is a bit different from her first release. I think it’s a better track with a punchier chorus. Fi is from Dublin and cites Halsey, Tove Lo, Lorde, Dua Lipa as influences. The debut single “Éalú” was released earlier in the year and received some radio spins and blog love. Impressed by the reaction to her first song, she flew to Los Angeles and recorded Feel Better with Shayan Amiri which was co-written with Esjay Jones (Nile Rogers, Sean Kingston). Fi reveals, I was listening to a podcast, and the writer is, where Ryan Tedder [of OneRepublic] was being interviewed and giving advice. He said, ‘Go to where the music is: London, LA or NY’. Los Angeles is brimming with so many talented producers, artists, songwriters, and guaranteed sun, so I just booked my flight hoping it would all naturally fall into place … and fortunately somehow it did!” Give the track a stream.

Check out the Brooklyn based duo Ruumer. The sister indie pop group dropped a music video for the radio worthy track Gimme Some (feat. Sammy Adams). Ruumer tells Kings, “The vibey anthem is all about empowering women’s sexuality”. The duo started out as a power-pop act and won over blogs like Idolator and Perez. In 2017 they released the Kesha-esqe track Heels, and now they slowed things down a bit with Gimme Some. Give it a stream!

Kings favorite Mavenne officially dropped a new track The Bad Guy. At only 16, she’s finding her own as a songwriter. Think Lana Del Rey meets Halsey. The Ohio native is creating radio-worthy dream pop that has big choruses and hooks. She is putting the finishing touches on her debut EP with plans to release soon. Give it a listen!

Beach of Diamonds caught our ear with their latest track Honest. They could appeal to fans of Weezer, The Maine and All Low Time. Many of the alternative bands of yesterday were trapped in a sound and probably would find inspiration listening to these guys. Anyhow, the pop-rock duo is based out of Norway. Consisting of Michael Markussen and Sondre L. Paulsen the new single was released via Mayen Records. The band is relatively new and have been picking up press and playlists along the way. Give it a stream!
