Emily James, a rising singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, has recently released a new song titled “Happy for Me“.

“Happy for Me is about wanting to stop letting anxiety get in the way of your joy. says Emily. It’s so easy to beat up on ourselves and fixate on what we don’t have, or what we
should be doing better, and getting sucked into an endless downward spiral. I wrote this song for anyone who needs reminding (myself included) of how important it is to celebrate
yourself and not to let worrying take you out of the present moment.”

The song’s simple yet powerful melody perfectly complements James’ vocals and allows the lyrics to shine through. The instrumentation is understated but effective, with acoustic guitar, piano, and light percussion providing a gentle backdrop for the song’s emotional message. CONTINUE READING

UK artist Eden Rain releases the hypnotic new track Bed and after a few listens, it will stick in your head. Bed (For The Year)” is the latest release from Rain’s upcoming debut EP “Gutter Vision” which is scheduled to be released in May. The track exhibits Rain’s enchanting vocals as they blend with an innovative production that combines elements of alternative pop and indie genres.

“About 10 years ago, when I was in high school, I was given a book called ‘The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year’. It was written by Sue Townsend and it sat on my bookshelf for a really long time and I didn’t actually read it, I just always stared at the cover of the book from my bed. When I was sad, (classic) for an extended period of time (depressed), I found that I couldn’t stay away from my bed. I read the book then because I was like ‘ugh, wish I could be in bed for a year’, and it’s about a married woman who’s twin children move away from home and she goes to bed for a year and doesn’t leave. And so that’s what the book is and what the song is based on, in a nutshell. I return to the book (and the bed) when life gets hard and I wanted to write an ode to that.”- Eden Rain.
