Connie Talbot has recently released the haunting ballad “Just A Broken Heart,” featured on her four-song EP, “Growing Pains.”
“I may have a broken heart,
Yet it tirelessly persists,
Beating in the shadows,
Solely for me, myself, and I.”
As you can tell, the song carries a dark and haunting tone. All in all, it resonates like a classic ballad.
Connie Talbot gained fame as the second-place finisher in the inaugural season of Britain’s Got Talent back in 2007. Following her success on the show, she inked a deal with the Rainbow Recording Company. In her music career, she has delivered five albums, including “Over the Rainbow” (2007), “Connie Talbot’s Christmas Album” (2008), “Holiday Magic” (2009), “Beautiful World” (2012), and “Matters to Me” (2016). In an exciting development, Connie Talbot is set to assume the lead role of Ellie in the upcoming film “The Key to the West.”
illume drops the moody song ‘Diamonds, Pearls, and Green,’ which is perfect for a rainy day or simply chilling out, and it has a way of getting stuck in your head.
illume notes, “I wrote and produced “Diamonds, Pearls, and Green” in an effort to encourage listeners to embrace their human emotions and feelings instead of dismissing them. At the time that I was writing this song, I had been reflecting on the kind of person I was in relationships. I found that it was incredibly difficult for me to be vulnerable in any form of relationship because I feared that my vulnerability would come across as a weakness that would only burden others. I used to only show others either “the best of me” or “the calm and collected me” and never “the vulnerable me” in an effort to conceal what I deemed my “weak self.” However, I eventually realized that in not being vulnerable, I was depriving myself of love and genuine human connection. For this reason, I wanted to remind people that being vulnerable is not a “weakness,” and there is no need to hide behind a mask. It is not unnatural to be emotional, to want to be vulnerable, to desire human connection, or anything similar; it is only human, and there is no hiding from one’s own humanity.”
Growing up in California, illume, an Alternative/Indie Pop artist, found her passion for music by loving life and art. Her songs explore human feelings and experiences, like ego, power, hope, and love. She uses her music to show how everyone has both good and bad sides.
Keep an eye out for Sarah Reeves and her track “Billboard on Sunset.” It brings back the 2010s vibe when Katy Perry and Jessie J ruled the airwaves with their melodic pop, music that truly captivated audiences. That’s exactly what this song does.
Sarah Reeves, a pop artist and songwriter, got her first record deal when she was just 18. Over the past decade, she has not only pursued her own music career but has also written songs for other artists and for use in TV and film. You can hear her music in recent promotions for shows like “American Idol” and in the UFC, as well as on various TV series across major networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and Netflix. She has even collaborated with well-known DJs like Gattüso, Laidback Luke, and Justice Skolnik.
Sarah Reeves has gained a significant following, with over 41.3 million streams of her music and 21.2 million lifetime streams on Pandora, along with more than 33.4 million views on YouTube. Her latest songs, such as “Anxious,” “Don’t Feel Like Fighting,” and “Heart First,” give us a glimpse of what to expect from her upcoming studio album, scheduled for release in Fall 2020.
Look out for Stephanie Bartlett and her recent debut release One For Me. As a new artist Bartlett is building her resume and catalog of songs, but she has a broad range of musical influences ranging from Frank Sinatra to Metallica, from the soulful George Ezra to Adele,
Bartlett notes, “For me, art exists for its own sake; I have no desire to follow trends or pretend to be someone I’m not. Creating is my true passion, and I pour my heart and soul into every piece. I believe that music has the power to support people at various points in their lives – whether it’s to amplify happiness, provide solace during times of sadness, or make them feel less alone when life feels isolating. Through my music, I aspire to share this passion and connection with others.”
“My song “One For Me” holds a universal meaning that anyone can relate to. As the writer, I penned it to encapsulate those moments in life when nothing can bring you down. It serves as a reminder that it’s alright to let go, be unguarded and naive, fall in love, take risks, be passionate and live in the present without regrets.”
Singer-songwriter Phebe Starr has released “One Step. Two Step.” I fell in love with it after just one listen. It’s a great song and the video also works nicely. Fans of Kate Bush will love.
Starr started her career on an Australian radio station called Triple J. She made her debut with a song called “Alone With You,” which got positive reviews from ABC and The Age magazine. Her song was even used in a Samsung commercial, the 2015 movie “A Million Happy Nows,” and the TV shows “Dance Academy” and “Offspring.” Shortly after that, she released an EP called “Zero.”
Afterward, Starr’s music started getting played on Triple J, and she had the opportunity to open for popular acts like Of Monsters and Men, Jagwar Ma, The Rubens, and Paperkites. She toured both Australia and the United States. Starr also landed features in magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, and Interview, as well as from Perez Hilton.
In 2016, she released a single called “Feel My Love” and performed at various venues in New York City, including The Foundry in Brisbane with Tigertown. She even took the stage at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. In September, her song “Feel My Love” won an award in the adult album alternative category at the International Unsigned Music Awards
