NYC rock/alternative act The Energy has released their new album “Realize Your Sin” on March 31st. The band has upcoming east coast dates. Recently performed with Lifehouse at the Malibu Music Fest. The track “Runaway” was featured on the final episode of MTV’s The Real World: Hollywood. Apparently, the band can sell out Irving Plaza in NYC, and Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ. For fans of Train, Lifehouse, etc. Our favorite track is Lights.

Meat Loaf’s Bat out of Hell has sold over 43 million copies worldwide, making it one of the highest selling albums of all time – but that was eons ago. Currently, Meat Loaf is recording his new record at Rob Cavallo’s studio in California. Rob Cavallo who recently produced the new Paramore and Dave Matthews album said of the Meat Loaf album, “This record’s going to shock people in terms of his musical style. It’s got all of the drama of a Meatloaf record, but it’s totally contemporary.”

Melbourne indie act The Temper Trap has signed to Glassnote Records (Secondhand Serenade). Check them out in our February feature. The band garnered a buzz at SXSW and can be compared to TV On The Radio. I would love to see the band break in the states – favorite song is Science of Fear.
