Lewis Capaldi said he won’t release any new music this year because people suffered enough. That’s pretty funny, but Capaldi is a really good artist and I can think of other artists that may want to spare people from new music (I shall not mention names).

Capaldi says:

“Hopefully I will release a new song and a new album next year,” he told the newspaper (via Radio X). “I won’t release another album this year or anything.
“I think people have suffered enough in 2020 – they don’t need another song from me.”
“So far we’ve written like 50 songs for it and like three or four of them are good, which is a good ratio I think,” he explained. “I am surprised at how productive I have been during lockdown as I thought I’d just sit in my pants all day and that would be it.”

Are shows coming back? Concerts are taking place all around the world that are attracting tens if not hundreds of thousands of people. The shows are being organized, promoted and people are showing up. Even smaller shows are being organized as with rapper Tech N9ne.
The rapper played a packed show on August 8th at the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center in Lake Ozark, Missouri with over 1,000 people in attendance.
By and large, Live Nation is taking a beating as revenues plunged by 98% in the last financial quarter.

Thousands gather at Smash Mouth concert. In fact, frontman Steve Harwell told the crowd: “We’re all here together tonight! F#!K that COVID shit!”
At least the frontman lives his lyrics. Remember the classic track All Star? “Hey now, you’re a rock star, only shooting stars break the mold”.
Thousands of fans gathered in Sturgis, South Dakota. The show on Sunday (August 9) was part of this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, a 10-day festival that attracted 250,000 motorcycle enthusiasts. Artists include: Smash Mouth, Trapt, Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Night Ranger, Reverend Horton Heat, Lit, 38 Special, Quiet Riot, and Big Skillet.
America isn’t the only nation that is drawing big crowds. Berlin just had a big rally that attracted 20,000 people.

The TikTok countdown begins. President Trump said he would ban the Chinese owned TikTok and WeChat in the US in 45 days if they are not sold by their Chinese-owned parent companies.

Microsoft is in talks to acquire the app following a conversation between CEO Satya Nadella and the President.
Trump set September 15 as the deadline for TikTok to find a US buyer. The app will be shutdown after the date if a buyer doesn’t rise to the occasion.
Right now, the app has attracted the 40 year old mom that shows off her dancing skills after much practice. But what happens if the app is banned? Is this the end of the world? No worries, I’m betting Microsoft wraps this up with the help of the president. Hence, TikTok will be saved and the world hangs on for one more day.
But Instagram Reels is waiting for you, if TikTok does go dark.

Sorry folks, the Chinese owned app TikTok will cease to exist at any moment in the US. India as well as other nations have banned what officials call a Chinese Spying Software app.

TikTok is like Huawei and ZTE, two Chinese companies that have been designated as threats to US national security.
The US has looked at forcing TikTok’s Chinese owner to divest it. It’s been said Microsoft could potentially acquiring TikTok’s US operations. I think that deal is off the table.
We hear Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is dancing in the streets now.
